GISA stands for the new Austrian Trade Register. It was launched as an austrianwide solution in 2015 and replaces the so far 14 decentrally operated registers. And in GISA data about commercial enterprises can be obtained.

The GISA records contain the most important business-related data from all commercial businesses which are established in Austria, in particular company name, name of the proprietor, location, wording of the business license and the date of incorporation of a commercial enterprise. For the data of sole traders that are not registered in the company register, GISA is the only authentic source of information. Data quality is ensured by standardised matching with other register.
